The Federal Trade Commission has accused attorneys representing Amazon of deliberately obstructing its investigation into the Prime service. According to a 92-page amended complaint filed by the FTC on Wednesday, Amazon’s lawyers allegedly employed misdirection tactics that almost led investigators to overlook crucial documents. The lawsuit, which has been ongoing for three months, claims that the company intentionally created obstacles for customers attempting to cancel their $14.99-per-month Prime subscription, which offers free delivery and additional benefits.
