Amazon Faces Backlash After Customer’s Chairs Go Missing

In a recent TikTok video, Diane Smith expressed her frustration with Amazon after a package containing four folding wooden chairs went missing. Smith had ordered a total of 12 chairs for an event, but only eight were delivered to the venue.

Smith explained that she had checked her Amazon account, which indicated that all the chairs had been marked as delivered. However, when she contacted Amazon about the missing chairs, she was told to wait until Thursday, the designated time limit for delivery.

When Thursday arrived and the chairs still hadn’t been delivered, Smith called Amazon again. This time, she was advised to file a police report, as the missing chairs were considered theft. Smith found this suggestion absurd, as she believed it was unlikely that someone would steal inexpensive wooden chairs.

Despite suggestions from viewers in the comments section, such as requesting a refund or using delivery photos as evidence, Smith was unable to resolve the issue through the app. Frustrated, she made a police report to find her missing chairs, as Amazon refused to assist her until the police were involved.

The Daily Dot reached out to both Diane Smith and Amazon for comment but did not receive an immediate response.

It seems that even with its swift service, Amazon is not immune to occasional mishaps. Hopefully, this situation will be resolved soon and Diane Smith will receive her missing chairs.
