DBS analyst Nashrullah Putra Sulaeman has reiterated his Buy rating on Amazon (AMZN) and set a price target of $175.00. Sulaeman believes that Amazon’s strong market positioning and potential for growth in multiple segments make it an attractive investment. The e-commerce sector, where Amazon holds a significant market share in the U.S., is expected to continue expanding at a rate of 12.3% CAGR from FY23F to FY25F. This growth, coupled with improvements in operating profit margins within Amazon’s retail segment, suggests increased profitability in the near future. Additionally, Amazon Web Services (AWS) remains a valuable component of the company’s business portfolio, contributing significantly to its profits. The advertising segment is also poised for substantial growth, with expected increases in market share and revenue outperforming competitors. These positive factors support Sulaeman’s higher target price for AMZN. Citi also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a $215.00 price target in a separate report.
