After facing regulatory scrutiny, Amazon has abandoned its plans to acquire iRobot, the parent company of Roomba. The approval for the acquisition seemed unlikely, leading Amazon to give up on the deal.
Thanks to listener Siobhan, Level Home has received Matter approval for its Level Lock+ smart lock with Home Key. Although the update is not yet available, it is expected to be released soon following certification.
Once again, Apple’s unannounced operating system homeOS has been spotted in the latest tvOS 17.4 beta. The hosts speculate on what this new operating system could be and whether it hints at a new smart home display.
SwitchBot has introduced a new hub called the Hub Mini. This compact hub connects SwitchBot devices to your Matter home via Bluetooth.
Lastly, the Wallflower app has received an update that allows you to control your smart home using an iPad or iPhone.
